When I joined the team, I worked closely with the Founders and Brand Manager on an intensive brand audit. Pepper’s original branding and strategy were not meeting their vision of an inclusive sexual wellness company. The solution to our goal was to move away from a “nighttime” inspired identity and into a humanistic lifestyle brand. We ultimately found that everyone craves connection. Whether that is found through quality time, shared meals, music, or intimate moments; we brought Pepper out of the bedroom and into everyday life.

BRAND IDENTITY
The Pepper logo incorporates a subtle crescent moon in the lobe of the letter P. We wanted a subtle nod to the intimacy of the bedroom, while still remaining modern and approachable. This crescent moon is used as a stand-alone brand mark to compliment a variety of branded products and applications.
The products Pepper were curated to fit into the funnel of their brand ethos. I designed and illustrated iconography to highlight the different benchmarks of their product selection.

To remain relatable and break the stigma of sexual wellness, we used real couples and people for all of our brand photography. Many were interviewed for various Pepper channels, opening up about their personal views on healthy connection. Both with self and partners

Branding and imagery are light, modern and minimal paired with irreverent copy to ease the pressure that comes with the sexual wellness territory.

Our goal with Pepper’s digital presence was to dive deep into the idea of “curation”, taking it beyond the physical products. Through Real Couple anecdotes, how-to’s, experience guides, and Maker spotlights; we provided our audience with candid conversations around connection.

This helped to drop the veil, creating a place that gives people comfort and confidence.

PRINT, CUSTOM ARTWORK, A PACKAGING DESIGN
I was featured as a "Maker", creating custom charcoal line art to sell on Pepper’s online shop. The artwork is also displayed in Pepper’s new flagship store in Las Vegas, NV.

The goal for the packaging design was to maintain discretion for our customers. The minimal design gives buyers a private, luxurious experience making the packaging an embodiment of treating yourself.
